The Perlé from Labastide, unique !...

In the prestigious lineage of the Gaillac Appellation, the Cave de Labastide created the “Perlé” in 1957.  Today it is one of its jewels.

The diversity of local grape varieties bestows an aromatic depth and inimitable typicity on this wine.   A “blanc de blancs”, the Perlé is made with the following grapes:

  •  Mauzac, the most ancient of our grape varieties, developing primary aroma of jasmin and sometimes grapefruit.
  • Loin de l’oeil, unique to our region, it gives good fruit characters to this wine.
  • Sauvignon, reveals a floral aromatic palette of acacia and iris.

Perlé – the elegance of white embroidered with pearls, gently sparkling, with a light and delicate taste.

Tasting Note from Dominique Laporte (Best French Sommelier)

Gaillac «Perlé» from the Cave de Labastide : Brilliant straw yellow in colour with green tints.  Fine bubbles and fresh nose, with aromas of ripe white fruits.  The palate is very characteristic of the ‘Perlé’ – elegant and fresh - a delicious wine of pure pleasure.

Wine/food pairing

A wine for all moments, from aperitif up to the last glass, it can accompany a variety of culinary specialties – fresh or salt water fish dishes, shellfish or seafood, bouillabaisse, braised turbot, grilled Saint Jacques, sushi……
