Imagine the Central Massif and the Aquitaine Basin, separated by the Tarn, turned towards
the West in the form of an amphitheatre and descending by successive stepped terraces down to the Albigeois Gulf... You find yourself at the north of the Gulf amid a variety of geological formations: plateaus and terraces on both banks reaching a height of 200 - 300 m. Before you extend the Tarn and its tributaries, whose sediments come to enrich the Gaillac wine region. For centuries, these wine-growing sites have been undergoing tectonic shifts, and erosion by wind and surface water.
Welcome to the cradle of our grapevines!

The specific character of this land worn by time and by wine growers gives our wine its inimitable richness and flavour :
* Terraces on the left bank lend a strong aroma to our AOC reds : the Left Bank and the Château Labastidié.
* Terraces on the right bank of the Tarn confer colour and softness upon our sweet and dry white wines.
* The Cordais gives its force to our Perlé and sparkling wines.
* The Cunac distils all its flavour into the Primeur and the Gaillac Fraîcheur. Now you can understand why our wines are so different (wide product range) and unique, just like the land that shapes them.
